Every week a group of people -no matter your age- interested in improving their communication skills meet in a local ubicated in the town centre of Madrid to practice their public speaking skills. They are members of Toastmasters clubs and prepare short speeches to defy his fear of speaking in front of an audience or to learn to communicate their ideas and views with more security.

“Public speaking is a personal and professional challenge for many people. Toastmasters is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in improving their communication skills, as he meets many people with similar concerns in an educational environment and friendly”, said Sergio Alonso de Leon, a young lawyer who currently heads the Madrid Toastmasters Club.

Don’t be shy

“Our meetings are highly participatory, whether you’re a very shy or reserved. When you join the Toastmasters Club you will follow a program that begins with a short speech and, little by little, you will be a competent communicator able to express your ideas clearly and effectively to any audience”, said Jim Dodson, a founding member of the American Club ten years ago.
